Notes from the Path
We’re all walking a path shaped by the choices we make. These choices determine where we land, what we build, and who we’re becoming along the way.
These are notes from mine. Reflections, lessons, and practical insights on life, stability, and the places that hold us while we grow.

Perfect isn’t the Point!
Have you ever missed an opportunity because the timing didn’t feel right?
Me too.
There’s a strange thing we tend to believe in: perfection. Perfection in life, in our jobs, in the decisions we’re trying to make. We wait for the stars to align, for clarity to arrive, for everything to feel effortless. That’s a lot of pressure to place on a single moment.
The truth is, the version of perfection we’re taught to wait for is a myth. Life doesn’t slow down to offer certainty, and the best decisions rarely announce themselves with flashing lights. More often, they arrive quietly, through harder choices, imperfect conditions, and small steps taken over time.
It shows up everywhere in real estate; people waiting for the “perfect market,” the “right home,” or the “ideal timing.” And while patterns, trends, and cycles can help create favorable conditions, they don’t work the same way for everyone. What does work is understanding your own circumstances and being intentional about creating stability over time. Waiting for perfection can mean missing opportunities that were actually well within reach.
I’ve watched friends and clients sit on the sidelines, hoping the perfect option would suddenly appear. People holding out for the dream just out of reach while overlooking something functional that could have been a stepping stone; dismissing a house entirely because of green shag carpet or pink paint on the walls. I’ve done it too. And through it, it’s become clear to me that more often than not, what eventually feels “perfect” is built through imperfect stages, before everything looks or feels fully aligned.
“The way forward is not to try to be perfect, but to be real—and to keep going.”
— Unknown

So, maybe perfection does exist, but not as a finished product. Perhaps it’s something we shape as we go. By noticing where we are. By paying attention to what feels right for us. By taking thoughtful steps forward, even when the picture isn’t complete yet. Each choice builds on the last, slowly creating something solid. Something “perfect.”
Throw away the star charts and magic clocks. Focus instead on your next step. Move with curiosity and care. That kind of intention will carry you much farther than waiting ever could.
